Dawn Skies

Dawn Skies

I see the dawn skies
Petals in your eyes
Seasons come alive
The mystery inside

Changes in your sun
Question where's the one
To color in your grey
Wish it were that way

The natural side of you
Buried but alive
So many colored hues
In disguise
And if you're feeling down
Can't wipe the tears away
Just remember this

What story brooks have known
As you step upon their stones
Anchors of the painful
Learned and grateful

Splashing orange rain
In castles all the same
Passageways of fame
Who's to blame

The natural side of me
Plain and laid bare
Such a slow moving vehicle
Will I ever get there
So when I'm feeling down
Can't wipe the tears away
I'll remember this

Nothing comes too easy
Still you gotta try
Until it kills you
Until it fills ya baby
Can just one thing come easy
So I don't have to
Try so hard
And fall so far

The natural side of us
Buried but alive
So many colored hues
In disguise
So if we're feeling down
Can't wipe the tears away
We'll remember this

The natural side of us
Buried but alive
